Information Centers – Don’t be afraid to ask!

Have you moved to a new city, visited it as a tourist, or simply need some advice? Every city or interesting tourist area has its own center where you can find out what you need. They are usually located in a highly visible spot in the city center and should be open all day. During the tourist season (April–September), opening hours are, of course, extended to include weekends and public holidays.

Not every information center has to offer all of the listed services, but you’re sure to find answers to various questions there. They’ll help you find your way to your destination, give you a taxi service number, and more. A map of the Czech Republic should be available for viewing (and possibly for purchase). They can help you find the locations and opening hours of businesses and various institutions such as banks, insurance companies, and cultural venues like cinemas and theaters, as well as the addresses of hospitals, pharmacies, doctors, police stations, and fire stations.
The information center provides information verbally, by phone, in writing, via electronic media, etc. And of course, it’s a free service.
The next time you’re in a new city and aren’t sure where to go or just can’t find something, feel free to ask—they’ll be happy to help!
